The geography of the Underground River is suitable as a good tourist spot. Palawan consists of about 1,769 islands: the calamian island group to the north, the Cuto island group to the northwest, and the Balabac Bugsak group to the southwest. it has several amazing featrures that make it more attractive such as the inspiring limestone karst mountain landscape stalagmites and other delightful rock formation which portrays the holy family- mother Mary, Joseph and the child Jesus together wityh a large candle with the three kings above it are verycatchy and interesting. a stalagmite formation of a lion seems to guard the place. scuba diving is spectacular because of its crystal clear blue-green waters teeming with marine life. fall in love with the majestic hawsbill and green sea turtles, the delightful dugong or sea cows, and plenty species of dolphins, whales, sharks, and manta rays. Above water there are various unique species to yhe place like the palawan bear cat, palawan mangoose, palawan peacock pheasant,fish-eating, palawan eagle, king cobra,. and various rare species of parrots and butterflies. Other delightful creatures like the Calamian deer or the large monitor lizards also thrive there.
